First video game debuted 50 years ago this week

Tennis for Two, created by nuclear physicist William Higinbotham, first appeared at a visitor’s day event at Brookhaven National Laboratory on October 18, 1958. It is said that hundreds lined up to play.

EA announces Spore Galactic Edition

EA has announced that they will release a “special edition” of the hugely anticipated game Spore, called Spore Galactic Edition. The Galactic Edition will contain extra goodies and will, apparently, be released along with Spore on September 7, 2008.
