I've often wondered if part of the reason some Christians seem so intent on telling me what atheism means and what I, as an atheist, believe has to do with simple deflection. They cannot articulate what they believe so they try to reduce me to their level. Sure, they are desperate to share their "good news," but how many are willing to provide any meaningful definition on what exactly their god is or is not? How many can get past the well-rehearsed garbage they can recite without having any idea what it means? Frustrating to be sure. Submitted to Reddit's atheism directory.
