IntenseDebate installed; still ironing out some wrinkles

I’ve been reading vjack blog about IntenseDebate for weeks, and never really gave it any thought. But, I had occasion to comment on one of his posts at Atheist Revolution, and was taken by the threaded comments. So, I checked it out and it turns out that IntenseDebate has some very compelling features, even if you don’t have a blog on which to install it. If you comment on blogs, IntenseDebate is worth a look. Create an account and track all your comments on blogs that run it. Cool.

So, while NKB receives nowhere near the number of comments Atheist Revolution gets, I figured I might as well install it. If nothing else, IntenseDebate provides much better email subscription support than the plugin I was running.

It was very easy to install–they provide a WordPress plugin–and configure, and they provide two-way syncing of comments, so if I should even uninstall it, I won’t lose any comments.  That’s nice. All in all, it’s really great, but I’m still trying to iron out some issues I’m having with Safari integration. Of course, that’ll have to wait until tomorrow, but I’ll keep you posted.
