John Gruber compares and contrasts the recently leaked/released memos of Apple’s Steve Jobs and Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer. The article is classic Gruber: insightful and spot-on. But more than anything else in the article, the following observation (regarding Ballmer’s statements and assertions with respect to Google) really resonates with me:
The old Microsoft could recognize good ideas and copy them; now Microsoft can’t even recognize genius.
