You can’t convince a believer of anything; their belief is not based on evidence but a deep-seated need to believe.

Court throws out $550k fine in “wardrobe malfunction” case
A federal appeals court today threw out a $550,000 indecency fine against CBS imposed as a result of the notorious “wardrobe malfunction” during the 2004 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
I wrote about this nearly two years ago, on my old blog, wherein I concluded:

I will pray to god asking him to make you think like me
Funniest thing I’ve read in a long time: “Evolution Has Been Disproven” on Atheist Revolution.
Almost forgot, today is Scopes Trial day
I love that it’s referred to as the Scopes “Monkey” Trial, because I get such a laugh when anyone tells me “I didn’t come from no monkey!” Why not just stand up and say, “I don’t know nuttin’ ’bout Evolution, not even the most basic stuff, but that sure ain’t gonna stop me from [...]

“Excuse me. Are you the Judean People’s Front?”
“Fuck off! We’re the People’s Front of Judea.”
Nearly thirty years ago, the town of Aberystwyth in Wales banned the movie Monty Python’s Life of Brian. Now, the mayor of the town is seeking to get the ban lifted.
“What did he say?”
“I think it was ‘Blessed are the cheesemakers’.”
“Aha, [...]

You want to know what’s wrong with our society? Our biggest problem is that we live in a society that no longer values the concept of not sticking one’s nose into other people’s business. We are, as Dennis Miller likes to point out, increasingly becoming a culture of “nosey Nellys”, and this from a culture [...]
